What's It About?
Welcome to the sleepy little town of Comet Valley, where nothing much exciting ever happens. That is, until the town is invaded by sentient plants from outer space! Intent on taking over the Earth, this fearsome foliage has found a diabolical way to pollinate humans, turning them into walking, talking and killing "Seedpeople"! Can Comet Valley's resourceful residents fight off the alien invaders, or is the planet doomed to become a savage garden of alien evil?

Video/Audio
Just like SHADOWZONE, the colors are really strong here. Everything looks bright and natural. Nice detail in close-ups. There is a very thin layer of grain. No remastering here.

There is no trailer for SEEDPEOPLE. I have no idea why they didn't include the trailer when they did for SHADOWZONE but they didn't. We do get the film's Videozone and it is a blast from the past.

Overall
SEEDPEOPLE was a bit of a letdown. The biggest problem I have with the film is I do not like anyone in this film. They aren't bad people. They are just bland and lifeless. I especially didn't care for the lead. He is not a bad actor but I couldn't get over the desire to punch him right in the face. I don't know why that is but its how I felt throughout the entire film. I also don't like the lighting. Any time there is a scene that takes place at night, the cinematographer blasts bright lights at whatever needs to be lit, making it look like the moon is a giant spotlight. If the light from the moon were that bright, we would all be dead. It also gives the film a cheaper look. This was a common thing in the early to mid-90s. LEPRECHAUN was shot much the same way.
I did like the effects. The different seedpeople were fun to watch and looked great. Anytime they appear in the daytime, however, makes them look exactly like a puppet or a suit. Still, I'll take these effects over the shit Full Moon is putting out these days. The film is pretty fun though but nothing like what I thought the film would be.
The blu-ray from Full Moon Features is also a bit of a letdown. The picture and sound quality are quite good but its the special features that are a bit lacking. Yes, we do the Videozone that appeared on the original VHS release. We also get some pretty terrible trailers for what are probably going to be terrible films. We don't, however, get the film's original trailer. Why? You made a remastered trailer for SHADOWZONE but not for SEEDPEOPLE? It's just weird. The film's trailer is the one special feature every release should be required to have. Does this make the release less "worth it?" No. The exclusion fo the trailer is a nitpick. It doesn't affect my recommendation. This is a good release.
