Video/Audio
First thing, there is no HDR on this release. It never triggered on my player and there is no mention of any on the box. For a film like TERRIFIER 3 you would think there would be HDR out the ass but there isn't. The film was shot in native 4K which make this release the best out there. Even without the HDR, the colors are very strong. Blacks are also very deep especially in dark scenes. The opening scene is the best looking scene in the film with all the colors from the Christmas lights and the deep, dark blacks give us the feel of 1974's slasher classic, BLACK CHRISTMAS. The film also has a film-like look and feel to it. This is not a flat, digital mess like a lot of other horror films are. This looks like it was shot on film. Detail is also impressive. Skin tones look natural. This is a nice looking picture.
The 5.1 DTS-HD track sounds wonderful. The screaming and blood gushes are just as gooey sounding as they were in the theater.

There are no special features on the 4K disc.
Disc 2: 2K Blu-ray
The Making of Terrifier 3 (16m 22s, HD, 1.78:1) A fly-on-the-wall look at the making of the film. That is not the voice I ever expected to come from Art the Clown.
Exclusive Sneak Peek at the Upcoming Documentary - Art Attack! (3m 6s, HD, 1.78:1) This is a preview of a making of for Terrifier 3 that should have been included in this release. This thing is weird. The will a clip from the doc, and then it will go to a black screen ten seconds before playing the next clip. This video is all one file so this doesn't come from the player switching to another file. This is edited in between the other clips. Very strange.
Eulogy Log (23m 39s, HD, 1.78:1) This is a single shot video of Art sitting in front of a fireplace and Christmas tree, taking presents out of his sack while acting goofy. This is something you can play in the background while the family has dinner on Christmas day
Bloody Stills Collection (1m 40s, HD) These stills autoplay but with zero music. It's just a minutes and forty. seconds of silence.
This release comes with a cool lenticular cover featuring Art the Clown turing into his version of Santa. The artwork that is featured on the blu-ray case is the theatrical poster art which is always welcome and should be standard on every physical media release. Inside, you will find 2 discs, a 4K Blu-ray and a 2K Blu-ray, with purple artwork for the 2K Blu-ray and red for the 4K Blu-ray. There is also a paper ad for Screambox.
The 4K Blu-ray is REGION FREE
The 2K Blu-ray is REGION A

Overall
2024 was an amazing year for horror and TERRIFER 3 was the head of the pack. This film is amazing. Of course, the gore is off the chain and should be nominated for an Oscar. In a just world, it would win. The film is also very funny. Art could just be a background actor in a scene and he will still upstage everyone. The film captures the Christmas look and feel better than I have seen in recent films. Most Christmas films add the bright colors of the lights but fail to capture the deep blacks that help to accentuate the bright colors. Doing this can make the colors feel like background noise. The scene in the bar is one of the funniest scenes in the film as it helps build the tension to something terrible coming from right around the corner. I am very happy this film blew up the box office this past October. Audiences seem to love this character and it shows in each film's box office performace. I love this film.
I have a feeling this release was made to get the film in people's homes for Christmas and we will be getting a much more packed release in the next year. While the picture and sound are amazing, the special features are lacking. There is no commentary track, deleted scenes, or trailers. There is a making of that is 16 minutes long and feels rushed. There is a few clips from an upcoming documentary about the making of TERRIFIER 3. If this is the case, I wish they had let fans know, like Peter Jackson did with the LORD OF THE RINGS films along with KING KONG. I don't know if I would have bought this release had there been knowledge about a nicer release. This doesn't mean this release is bad. It isn't. It just feels like something grander is coming. I can recommend this release to those who don't want to wait for a release that might not be coming, those who couldn't care less about special features, and those who have so much money they can buy everything.
